Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was a radio serial that ran from 1949 to 1962. For the first several years Johnny Dollar was a private investigator before switching over to insurance investigator. The switch of Johnny Dollar from a private investigator to a freelance insurance investigator introduced the famous tagline, "The Man with the Action-Packed Expense Account."

Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was consistent ratings winner for CBS Radio, which is one of the reasons why it lasted so long into the rise of television.

After Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar ended its run it entered the Public Domain. Which is why we are able to bring him back as a ransomware fighting freelance cyber insurance investigator.

Our comic book brings in a lot of the elements of the show, including starting each issue off with a call from an insurance company and Johnny tracking his expenses and using that as a narrative device.
